A Big Moment: On of My First Original Paintings is Now Available.

I'm genuinely buzzing as I write this - today marks a really special milestone for me. I'm listing my first original oil painting for sale on this, my new website!
If you've been following along, you'll know I work primarily in oils now. I absolutely love the medium - the richness of the colours, the way the paint moves, the texture you can build up on the canvas. But there's one catch with oils that's kept my originals off the website until now: they take approximately six months to fully dry before they can be varnished and framed.
Six months! I know, it feels like forever when you're excited to share a piece. But this waiting period is essential - it ensures the paint is properly cured so the varnish can be applied without any issues, and so the painting will last for generations.
Endless Summer was one of those paintings that I finished and immediately thought "I can't wait to share this one." So these past six months have felt particularly long! But now she's finally ready - fully dried, professionally varnished to protect the colours and add that beautiful satin finish, and framed in a crisp white wood frame that makes the colours absolutely sing.
The varnishing process is such an important final step. It not only protects the painting from dust, UV light and environmental factors, but it also unifies the surface sheen and makes the colours appear even more vibrant and luminous. When light hits a varnished oil painting, there's a depth and glow that's simply magical.
And the best part? She arrives completely ready to hang. No need to source a frame, no trip to the framers - just unbox and hang her on your wall.
This feels like the beginning of something exciting. I'll be adding more originals to the website as they complete their drying time and get varnished. But Endless Summer gets to be the first, and I couldn't be happier about that.
Thank you for being here for this moment with me! 💛
