Unframed and Original Paintings that are already framed are typically shipped out within 7 working days (sometimes I will have to order a specialist box appropriate for the painting size).

...But not all of my original paintings come pre-framed. For unframed originals, I'm happy to offer custom framing — simply choose your preferred frame colour and I'll have a bespoke frame made specifically for your painting.

Please note that custom framing does take a little longer, as the frame needs to be ordered, delivered and then carefully fitted by hand. Please allow an additional 7–14 days for custom framed orders.

RETURNS

• Damage: Sometimes damage occurs during transport: if this happens, please email me photos of the damaged item and I will either refund or replace it if possible.
• Cancellation / Return: You may cancel your order or return your merchandise up to 14 days within receipt for a refund of the purchase price. You will be responsible for the cost of the return postage. The items should reach me in the same condition i sent them to you of course and i would highly suggest you get insured and recorded shipping if you plan to send something back to me. Once I receive your returned item I will issue a refund.

Paintings are signed and varnished.

Inspired by Hengistbury Head and Mudeford Spit — two of my favourite places on the Dorset coast — and the many blustery, glorious walks I did there when the children were little. I wasn't trying to paint a photograph of that place. I wanted to paint the feeling of it — standing at the edge of something vast and alive, with the wind pushing at you and the sea stretching out to the horizon. That's what abstract art does at its best. It doesn't document. It captures.

Soft pale blues and creamy sandy tones move across the canvas, with darker teal and grey building in the breaking wave. There's real energy in this original canvas oil painting — you can almost feel the spray — but there's calm in it too. That beautiful contradiction the sea always holds.
