When you purchase an original this is what happens : 

• I varnish your painting for you
• I add the D Rings and picture wire - so that it is ready to hang whether it is framed or unframed
• If you have asked for it to be framed with a custom frame I order a bespoke frame and once it arrives I frame it for you so that it ready to hang out of the box!
• I pack it securely and ship it with a courier for a speedy and safe delivery
  
  This whole process should take around 7 working days but where frames are custom made sometimes it can take a few days longer, especially at busy times of the year. If you need your order quickly or by a certain date please let me know before ordering and I will be in touch to discuss timescales and will do my utmost to accommodate you

RETURNS

• Damage: Sometimes damage occurs during transport: if this happens, please email me photos of the damaged item and I will either refund or replace it if possible.
• Cancellation / Return: You may cancel your order or return your merchandise up to 14 days within receipt for a refund of the purchase price. You will be responsible for the cost of the return postage. The items should reach me in the same condition i sent them to you of course and i would highly suggest you get insured and recorded shipping if you plan to send something back to me. Once I receive your returned item I will issue a refund.

'Joy Looks Good On You' - Original Colourful Abstract Painting On Canvas - ‘Joy Looks Good On You’ is for anyone who has ever had to search for joy rather than simply stumble across it — the one who knows that on the harder, greyer days, joy isn’t automatic. It has to be chosen. This original acrylic painting on canvas is the first piece in my ‘Joy by Design’ collection, and it came from a very real and personal place.

I painted this during a season when I found myself having to reach for joy deliberately — to pick it up and carry it rather than wait for it to arrive on its own. So I went straight for the colours that feel most joyful to me: vivid singing pinks, soft uplifting blues, warm peachy tones and luminous whites. I let them move across the canvas with the most free, energetic brushstrokes I could manage — no overthinking, no holding back. Just colour doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

What I love most about this piece is that underneath all that vibrancy, there’s a real warmth and settledness to it. Because that’s what genuine joy feels like when you find it — not frantic or loud, but quietly, deeply good. Painted with free expressive brushstrokes in acrylic on canvas, full of movement, energy and light, it makes a beautiful statement in a living room, bedroom or any space that needs a daily reminder to choose joy — because joy, truly, looks good on everyone!
